“Visual Storytelling in New Media” – Masterclass with ICP Teachers in Torino

The second edition of the Visual Storytelling in New Media Masterclass organized by CAMERA - Italian Center for Photography in collaboration with ICP - International Center of Photography of New York will be held from 3 to 28 July. The intensive advanced training course is dedicated to photographers who want to deepen and improve their theoretical and technical skills, particularly in the documentary field.

During this intensive one-month program, students will learn how to tell a story, how to assemble a sequence of images through narrative and non-linear approaches, creating a dialogue between ethics, appropriation, approaching subjects, acquiring a wealth of both technical and artistic skills.

ICP teachers of the caliber of Andrea Cattaneo, Karen Marshall, Saul Metnick, Alison Morley, Bob Sacha and Gaia Squarci will guide the students in all the phases of the realization of a final personal project. The class will be divided into two groups, in this way each student will be followed individually.

The Masterclass includes an intensive program with lessons and shooting every day including weekends.
A calendar of evening lectures will address topics such as Ethics, New Media, Professional Practice, Social Media.

Participation in the course will allow students direct admission to the One-Year Certificate Program, the full time course in Documentary Photography and Photojournalism of the International Center of Photography.

All lectures, seminars and activities will be held in English.
