“Storytelling with a Personal Vision” – Workshop with Mads Nissen in Padova

With the assistance of the international military coalition the rebels have now taken over the city of Ajdabiya. A young boy stands in the living room of a house that was partly destroyed by a missile fired by pro-Gardaffi forces. According to the family living in the house there were no rebels fighting from the house, or other obvious reason for the attack. According to locals the Pro-Gardaffi forces was firing randomly on houses with guns, tanks and artillery in the city.

Cecilie lives at the clinic and at night she sleeps next to Victoria. Cecilie is contemplating an adoption to make Victoria part of her family back in Denmark. No matter how well the surgery goes, Victoria will be permanently disabled to a yet unknown extent. But anything is better than being left to die alone, Cecilie says.

The workshop is designed for photographers who wish to strengthen and develop their skills to tell visual and documentary stories with a personal point of view.
The different journalistic approaches of documentary photography will be analyzed, learning to use the various photographic languages as a tool to convey a personal vision.
Almost everything has already been photographed, but no one has ever seen the world as you do. The workshop will try to make your vision clearer and stronger.
